Importing your data from Stocky into Organizely is simple. Just follow the steps below.
Before you begin
Open the Organizely app inside your Shopify admin and complete the initial data import first. Don't move on until that import has finished.
Steps
Open the Organizely admin. Once your initial data import is complete, click Organizely in the top right.
Go to the Stocky import page. Navigate to Integrations → Stocky import.
Choose an import method. You can import your data in one of two ways:
Stocky API — recommended.
CSV : upload a file for any record type (purchase orders, stocktakes, suppliers, or adjustments). This is also the only way to bring in stocktakes.
Note: The API cannot import stock takes. To bring those over, download them from Stocky as CSVs one by one and upload them.
Import using the API. Provide the following:
Store name — your My Shopify URL, found on your Shopify Settings page.
Stocky API key — in Stocky, go to Preferences → API Access, then copy and paste your API key.
Start the import. Click Start Import. Organizely will begin importing all of your data. This takes only a few seconds for small stores, or a few minutes for larger ones. Feel free to leave the page and come back.
What you can bring over
Organizely imports the records Stocky kept that Shopify does not: purchase orders, stocktakes, suppliers, and stock adjustments. Your products and variants come from your Shopify sync, and transfers are handled by Shopify, so those are not imported here. Everything comes in as history, so your live stock levels never change.
