Stock alerts email you as soon as an item runs low, plus a scheduled weekly rundown of what is out of stock or running thin. You create and manage them under Demand Planning → Alerts.
Where to find stock alerts
Go to Demand Planning → Alerts. The page lists every alert you have set up, with its status (Active or Inactive), type, key details, scope, and how many recipients it notifies. Click any alert row to edit it, or use the actions menu at the end of the row.
The two alert types
Use the Create Alert button at the top of the page and pick one of the following.
Low-stock threshold alerts
A threshold alert emails your recipients as soon as stock reaches or drops below the level you choose. Use it to catch a specific item (or your whole catalog) before it sells out.
Weekly stockout summary alerts
A weekly summary emails a digest of your out-of-stock and low-stock items on a day of the week you choose (it also highlights your recent best sellers). Use it as a recurring check-in rather than a real-time trip wire.
Create a threshold alert
Go to Demand Planning → Alerts.
Click Create Alert , then choose Threshold Alert .
Enter an Alert Name (required). Add an optional description if it helps you tell alerts apart.
Choose a Scope (see the options below).
Set the Threshold (units) . The alert triggers when stock reaches or falls below this level.
Set the Cooldown Period (hours) . This is the minimum time between notifications for the same item, so you are not emailed repeatedly while stock stays low. Set it to 0 to disable the cooldown.
Enter one or more Email Recipients as a comma-separated list. Your own email is filled in by default.
Leave Active on to start monitoring right away, or turn it off to save the alert without sending anything yet.
Click Create Alert .
Choosing a scope
The scope decides which stock the threshold watches:
Global (All Products) : watches your organization-wide quantity across every product.
Specific Product : search for and pick one product; watches that product's organization-wide quantity.
Specific Variant : search for and pick one variant; watches that variant's organization-wide quantity.
Specific Variant at a Location : pick a variant, then pick a store location; watches only that one location's stock.
Note: the global, product, and variant scopes all evaluate your organization-wide quantity. Only the location scope evaluates a single location.
Per-location alerts and transfers
When you scope to a variant at a location, the alert checks that one location's stock against the threshold, not the company-wide total. That means it fires even when stock is simply moved between locations. For example, a stock transfer that drops one location below its threshold triggers the alert, even though your organization-wide total has not changed.
Create a weekly summary alert
Go to Demand Planning → Alerts.
Click Create Alert , then choose Weekly Summary .
Enter an Alert Name (required) and an optional description.
Pick the Day of Week the summary should be sent (Sunday through Saturday).
Enter one or more Email Recipients as a comma-separated list. Your own email is filled in by default.
Leave Active on, or turn it off to keep the alert paused.
Click Create Alert .
Manage your alerts
All of your alerts appear in the table on the Alerts page.
Edit : click a row (or open its actions menu and choose Edit ) to change the name, scope, threshold, cooldown, day, recipients, or active state.
Pause or resume : open the alert, switch Active off to stop it from sending without deleting it, and switch it back on when you want it again.
Delete : open the row's actions menu, choose Delete , and confirm. This removes the alert permanently.
Tip: the table's Recipients column shows how many email addresses and team members an alert notifies at a glance, so you can spot an alert that is missing someone.
Unsubscribe from alert emails
Every stock alert email includes an unsubscribe link. Opening it takes you to a confirmation page that removes that email address from the alert's recipients, so the recipient stops receiving notifications. If the page reports the link is invalid, expired, or already used, open the link from your most recent alert email instead.
Note: unsubscribing affects only the email address that received the notification. If it was the alert's last remaining recipient, the alert is automatically turned off (Inactive). You can re-subscribe anytime by logging in and adding the address back to the alert's recipients.
