You can ask Oppy to do something later instead of right now, for example "text me tomorrow morning with the overdue PO status". Anything you schedule this way shows up on its own tab, so your team can see what is queued up, when it will run, and how it turned out.
Scheduled actions are available on the Pro, Scale and Enterprise plans, the same as the rest of Oppy AI. Everyone on your team who can use Oppy AI can view the list. Cancelling is limited to the person who scheduled the action, or to a manager or admin.
Scheduling an action
Just ask Oppy in a normal conversation and say when you want it to happen. Oppy does not schedule anything on its own: it stages the request as an approval card first, and once someone approves it the action appears in the scheduled list.
There are two kinds of scheduled action today:
An Oppy turn : Oppy runs an instruction for you at the chosen time. The row shows the exact instruction it will run.
A text message : Oppy sends a text message to a teammate whose phone number is verified, which can be you. The row shows it as Send text (SMS): "..." .
You can also ask Oppy what it has scheduled and it will read the list back to you in the chat. Cancelling, though, only happens on the Scheduled tab.
Where scheduled actions are listed
Go to Oppy AI and open the Scheduled tab. Each row shows the instruction that will run, when it fires, and the timezone. Times are shown in the timezone of the person who scheduled the action, with a timezone label next to them, so a teammate in another timezone can tell exactly when something is due.
Each row carries a status:
Scheduled : it is pending and has not run yet.
Running : it is executing now.
Completed : it finished.
Failed : it did not finish, and the row shows the reason.
Canceled : someone cancelled it before it ran.
What happens when one runs
When the time comes, Oppy carries out the instruction. A text-message action is sent to the verified number it was addressed to. An Oppy turn runs like a normal request in the chat, and it looks everything up fresh rather than reusing whatever was true when you scheduled it. The usual approval rules still apply: if Oppy wants to change something in Organizely, it stages the change as an approval card for a person to approve. Nothing is written to your data just because it was scheduled.
Cancelling a scheduled action
Open the Scheduled tab and press Cancel on the row while its status is still Scheduled. If you are not the person who scheduled it and you are not a manager or admin, the app tells you: "Only the person who scheduled this (or a manager) can cancel it."
Once an action starts, it cannot be stopped from this tab. If you try to cancel a row that has already started, the app refuses it: the action "is already running or has finished", so it can no longer be canceled. If a scheduled action would make an unwanted change, you can still decline it at the approval card instead.
