Advanced settings hold your organization's data management and system preferences. You will find them at Settings → Advanced.
These settings are admin-only.
Open Advanced settings
In the left sidebar, open Settings.
Select the Advanced tab.
Re-index search
Organizely keeps a search index so lookups across your records return fast, complete results. If search results start looking incomplete or missing, you can rebuild that index.
On the Advanced Settings page, find the "Re-index search" card.
Select Re-index.
Let the rebuild finish. It runs in the background and can take up to an hour to complete.
Note: You can run only one rebuild at a time. The Re-index button is unavailable while a rebuild is in progress and becomes available again once it finishes.
Tip: Re-indexing does not change your products, inventory, orders, or any other data. It only rebuilds the index used to find that data, so it is safe to run whenever search feels off.
Find your organization and user IDs
The Advanced Settings page also shows two identifiers that support may ask for when troubleshooting:
Organizely Organization ID: identifies your organization (account).
Organizely User ID: identifies you as a team member.
To copy one:
Find the IDs card on the Advanced Settings page.
Select the copy button next to the ID you need.
Paste it into your message to support.
Tip: Share these IDs with our support team when you report an issue specific to your account. They help us locate your records quickly.

Timezone
Dates and times in Organizely are normally shown in each viewer's own browser time, so the same record can read as two different times for a warehouse teammate and a remote bookkeeper. The Timezone card pins displayed timestamps to your business's timezone instead, so everyone reads the same clock. It sits at the top of the Advanced Settings page, above the Inventory display, Re-index search, and ID cards.
The card describes itself this way: "Display dates and times in your business's timezone, regardless of where a teammate is viewing from. Currently applies to adjustment history and is rolling out to more screens. Leave on the default to show each viewer their own local time."
Set a business timezone
Go to Settings > Advanced and find the Timezone card.
Open the dropdown. It is searchable, so you can type a city or region to narrow the list of world timezones.
Choose your business's zone, or choose "Each viewer's local time (default)" to hand timestamps back to each viewer's browser.
Select Save. The button becomes available once you change the selection.
Organizely confirms the change by naming the zone you picked ("Supported timestamps now display in ..."), or with "Supported timestamps now follow each viewer's local time" if you returned to the default.
> Note: Coverage is partial today. Adjustment and stocktake screens follow the business timezone first, and more screens are being added over time. Until a screen is covered, it keeps showing each viewer's own browser time, so do not assume every date in the app has moved.
> Note: Saving a timezone is not admin-only. Any team member who can open Settings > Advanced can change it. The Inventory display card below is the one that requires an admin.
> Tip: Imported records that carry only a date, with no time of day, always keep their original calendar date, whatever you choose here. That is deliberate: it stops an imported record from appearing to shift to the day before for viewers in the Americas.
Inventory display
The Inventory display card sits between Timezone and Re-index search. It describes itself as "How the stock adjustment and variant screens present Shopify-facing numbers and count math for your whole team."
These settings control how the adjustment and variant screens present Shopify-facing numbers, and one of them changes the math behind counted entries, not just what is on screen. Read the note below before changing that one.
The four organization controls
Shopify headline: a dropdown with "Shopify on hand", "Shopify available", and "Both", described as "Which Shopify number the previews project after an adjustment." The default is Shopify on hand. This decides which Shopify total the previews project once a change is filed. Choosing Both shows both totals in the new adjustment preview; the Adjust Inventory dialog on a variant always shows one line, and it shows Shopify on hand unless you choose Shopify available.
Count against committed: a toggle, on by default, described as "Counted mode files counted − (available + committed + reserved). Turn off if your team pick-packs immediately, so shelves exclude committed units. Changes the filed quantities, not just the display."
Show committed rows: a toggle, on by default, described as "Show the Committed line in adjustment previews."
Show buildable rows: a toggle, on by default, described as "Show buildable (from components) inventory in adjustment previews."
> Important: Count against committed is not a display option. It changes the quantity Organizely actually files when someone enters a shelf count, because it changes what that count is compared against. Turn it off only if your team picks and packs orders immediately, so units committed to open orders are genuinely off the shelf when a counter walks it. Getting this wrong files the wrong variance.
Turning off Show committed rows or Show buildable rows only tidies the previews. Neither toggle hides the Shopify projection itself, so you cannot accidentally hide the number an adjustment is about to change. When the Committed line is hidden, the Expected total on the new adjustment preview still explains its own composition on hover.
Count against committed also sets the starting point for the per-stocktake "Include committed inventory" checkbox in the Create stocktake dialog, so your organization-wide choice becomes the default for each new count. You can still change it on an individual stocktake.
Saving for the organization, or just for your browser
Saving these settings for the whole organization is admin-only. The button is labeled Save for organization, and if you are not an admin the save is refused with an error message.
Any team member who can open the page, admin or not, can override the organization's choices for their own browser:
Turn on "Use custom settings on this device", described as "Overrides the organization defaults in this browser only." It starts from the organization's current values.
A Save to this device button appears next to Save for organization.
Set the four controls the way you want them, then select Save to this device.
The confirmations tell you which scope you just changed: "Inventory display preferences saved" for the organization, "Display settings saved to this device only" for the per-browser save, "This device now uses its own display settings" when you switch the override on, and "This device follows the organization settings again" when you switch it back off.
A device override lives in that browser only. It does not follow you to another computer or another browser, and it does not change anything for the rest of your team.
> Tip: Search boxes also accept a record's Organizely ID. Copy the 24-character ID out of a record's web address or a data export, paste it into the search bar at the top of the app or into a product, variant, order, purchase order, supplier, work order, SOP, or warehouse location picker, and Organizely returns exactly that record. The match is exact and limited to your own store, so an ID from another store returns nothing, and if the ID matches no record the text is searched normally. Anything that is not exactly a 24-character ID, including an ID inside a longer phrase, is searched as ordinary text, exactly as before. This works on your existing records with no re-index needed, and your current filters still apply. The organization and user IDs on this page identify your account for support; they are not record IDs and will not return anything in search.
