Your catalog is the central record of everything you sell: products, their variants, and the details that describe and organize them. It powers pricing, inventory, purchasing, forecasting, and reporting across the rest of Organizely.
What the Catalog is
The Catalog area holds your products and variants along with the categories, vendors, and tags used to organize them. It also includes, on the Pro plan, bills of materials for the products you assemble or manufacture.
Note: Products and variants sync from Shopify automatically, so your catalog stays current without manual entry. You can also create products directly in Organizely.
What you can do
Products and variants (Catalog → Products): View, search, filter, create, and edit products. Manage each product's variants with their own SKU, pricing, dimensions, weight, and barcodes, and track inventory separately per variant. Open a product to see its inventory by location, purchasing settings, integrations, and history.
Categories, vendors, and tags : Organize products with categories, vendor associations, and custom tags so they are easy to search and filter. (Vendors are managed under Purchasing → Vendors, where they can be edited and archived; they also auto-recreate from Shopify product data by name.)
Bill of materials and assemblies (Catalog → Bill of Materials, Catalog → Assemblies, and a variant's Materials tab): Define the components a variant is built from with a quantity per finished unit, see costed rollups and how many you can build per location, and browse every assembly in one directory. Requires Raw-Material Tracking (Pro plan).
Untracked parts (Catalog → Untracked Parts): Keep a registry of non-inventory parts (screws, glue, labels) that belong on a bill of materials for cost and documentation but are never stock-tracked. Requires Raw-Material Tracking (Pro plan).
