Warehouse and Inventory is where you model where your stock physically lives and run the day-to-day operations that keep those quantities accurate. Build out your storage structure, assign stock to specific locations, count it, move it, and correct it, all from one section.
What it is
Organizely lets you organize each warehouse into a hierarchy (Warehouse → Zone → Aisle → Shelf → Bin) and track how much of every variant sits at each location. From there you run the operations that change those numbers: stocktakes, transfers, and adjustments. The section lives under Warehouses in the sidebar, with the multi-line Adjustments document under Catalog → Adjustments.
Inventory quantities are tied to your variants: when a location's quantity changes through any of these operations, the variant's on-hand total updates and the change syncs back to Shopify like any other inventory movement.
What you can do
Build your locations and hierarchy. Create multiple warehouses and organize each one into zones, aisles, shelves, and bins. Navigate the structure as a visual tree and track inventory down to a specific physical spot.
Assign inventory to locations. Take unallocated stock and place it into specific bins or shelves, and see how inventory is distributed across every location.
Generate and scan barcodes. Create barcodes for your warehouse locations, then scan items and locations for quick lookups and faster stocktake counts.
Run stocktakes (cycle counts). Open a physical count for a location (full, or scoped by vendor, supplier, category, ABC grade, or a variant limit), count each item with live variance, optionally count blind, then commit to file the corrections.
Transfer stock between locations. Move stock between two store locations as a tracked document, from draft to sent (in transit) to received, with support for partial receipts and cancellation.
Make stock adjustments. Correct quantities with a reason: a quick single-item adjust from a product variant, or a multi-line document (Catalog → Adjustments) that applies many per-variant changes at one location at once.
The Adjustments document (and custom adjustment reasons) requires the Warehouse permission.
Where to start
Set up your warehouse structure first, so you have real bins and shelves to assign stock to.
Assign your unallocated inventory into those locations.
From then on, keep quantities accurate with stocktakes, transfers, and adjustments as stock moves and changes.
